Did you ever hear that song have patience, have patience, don’t be in such a hurry…when you get impatient it only starts the worry…
Here’s a little youtube goodness of a sweet kid singing the part I remember:
I had a college roommate who would sing that to me on occasion when I, perhaps, wasn’t demonstrating that particular fruit of the spirit so well. It’s not really one that’s cultivated deeply in my family tree, but that’s another post for another time. Ha!
We’ve moved to the Hutchinson Event Center for our worship life, among other things. We’ve been in 1/2 the great room space and it has felt good. Now, as we begin morning worship (10:30), these next two weeks will be yet another way for us to demonstrate our flexibility and practice our patience. Ultimately, get us to rely on our faith. Huh. How ’bout that.
The Evangelical Free Church is still preparing to move into their new location. They are still worshiping at the Event Center and so we’ll be in the same building at roughly the same time for worship. In order to put a little more distance between our two worships, River of Hope will worship in the Program Room October 20 and 27 and we’ll anticipate moving into our 1/4 room space November 3 for both worships. Don’t worry, we’ll have greeters and ushers meet you at the door to point you in the right direction.
It continues to startle and delight me to see the ways that God works in our community, especially in times of great transition and change. Thank you for showing love and good humor. It’s an incredible experience to find that we are community no matter where we gather.
