Questions expected and welcome.

I am new to River of Hope

New to River of Hope?

YOU are Welcome! Visiting a new church can be intimidating. We strive to create a safe environment to practice dangerous faith. So, we’ve designed a page for you in the hope it will answer some of your questions and help you take a step through the doors of our worship space knowing the lay of the land. We don’t have all the answers – but will at least try to tell you what to expect.

The Season of Advent

re-

There's a lot going on in that dash, isn't there? The definition of re-

[is a prefix, from Latin, used with the meaning “again” or “again and again” to indicate repetition, or with the meaning “back” or “backward” to indicate withdrawal or backward motion]

To remember is to recall, a moment of "ah-ha!" To re-member is also an act of being gathered back together, reunited, made part of a whole again or to be made whole our own selves.

This season of waiting, Advent, finds God re-membering us as Children of God. Bringing us into God's love. It's an act of mercy and grace we cannot achieve. It is pure gift.

River of Hope's worship is in the Hutchinson Event Center
Sundays at 10:30AM
Plaza 15 / 1005 Hwy 15 S.

Beer and Hymns

Beer & Hymns is not a private party but is one for the whole Hutchinson community! It's always the last Tuesday of the month, September-May. 6-8pm.

For more information, call the church office at 320-587-4414.

Beer is optional. Singing takes many voices. Come and add yours to the fray!

Laundry Love

River of Hope's purpose is short and to the point: "We go out to transform lives through Jesus Christ." So Laundry Love is a natural "we go out" connection. It's about meeting people where they are, putting quarters in a machine, and showing love to each other. It's just like Jesus to show up in dirty laundry, isn't it?
